Other notables included State Committee members from the North Shore area, radio personality Jeff Katz, and Congressman Greg Walden from Oregon. Swampscott’s very own Charlie Baker revved up the standing room crowd of Tisei supporters speaking to Richard’s vast experience as a State Representative and Senator.

He outlined his in-depth knowledge of the 6th District’s issues and Richard’s commitment to reaching out to his constituency. Richard’s many years in state government make him uniquely qualified to bring about real change. The enthusiastic gathering of supporters are confident in their congressional candidate's success.

As a guest at the event remarked, "Richard is a realistic Republican who will do a great job for us in Washington DC. He understands the issues facing the people here and always listens to us."

In fact the personable Tisei knew many in the crowd and spent the afternoon in comfortable conversation. Swampscott Committee Chair Susan Withrow was pleased to have Richard attend the relaxed get-together where he could enjoy the company.

She said, "Richard is a kind, open-minded, and fair person. That coupled with his experience as the Senate Minority Leader on Beacon Hill, he is the perfect person to send to Congress at this time."
