The Man's Kayak Found at Eisman's Beach

The search continues for the Lynn man, according to the US Coast Guard.

The US Coast Guard received a report about 8:40 pm that the missing 23-year-old's kayak was located at Eisman's Beach with the oars stowed, said US Coast Guard Lt. Garrett Meyer.

The search continues for the man, and, unless he is located, the search will continue through the night, the lieutenant said.

He shoved off from Fisherman's Beach Saturday at 4 pm, the Coast Guard said, and he was due back in an hour and a half at 5:30 p.m.

Authorities received a report that the man had not returned to Fisherman's Beach at 5:30 p.m., and this report triggered the search.

Easiman's Beach is east of Fisherman's Beach, on the other side of Lincoln House Point.

The Coast Guard has a helicopter and a boat involved in the search.

A harbormaster's boat is also helping.

Police and firefighters are searching the shore line, said Lt. Tom Stevens.

Lt. Meyer said rescuers are concerned that the weather conditions are forecasted to deteriorate. Bad weather will make the search more difficult.
