Middle School After School Tennis

 This program will be run by Andrew Fritz, head coach of Bishop Fenwick boy's team with 20 years of tennis experience. This program is for the beginner player as well as the more advanced player.

Tennis will meet afterschool starting on Sept. 20, on Tuesday and Thursdays for 4 weeks. Please bring your own tennis racket. The cost of this program is $65.

Co-Ed Basketball Training Program

Visionary Basketball experienced staff is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of the game and making sure that learning is conducted in a safe, positive environment that is also challenging to the player.

This program is for players grades 5 thru 12. It will run on Mondays and Wednesday nights starting on Sept. 19 @ Swampscott High school.

You can sign up for 1 night per week or 2. The cost for 1 night is $100 and 2 nights is $200.

High School Sailing Fall Racing

This program is for the experienced racer who would like to practice with other students from Swampscott High School.

The program will be run by Bart Lowden. High School coach and Summer Recreation sailing director.

It will be held at Fisherman’s Beach for 4 Sundays from 1-4 starting on Sept. 11. The cost of this program is $25.

 

Adult Education Classes

Microsoft Office

In this introductory class you will learn the basic skills you need to do creative and productive projects in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint such as invitations, spreadsheets and slide presentations.

Previous Windows knowledge is helpful. We will be working with Office 2003 but will discuss the differences if you have 2007 or 2010. Students should have some fundamental keyboarding skills." The cost is $50.

Wire Work Jewelry


This is a beginner to intermediate level class, which will cover fundamentals of wire jewelry, including wire wrapping, linking, coiling, binding and caging. Students will work in copper and silver to make at least 6 finished pieces including a sea glass pendant, chandelier and drop earrings a bracelet and anklet.

Classes will be held in the Eos design studio in Marblehead. Will meet for 4 weeks starting on September 28th from 7pm – 9pm. Cost is $50.

There is a $60 material fee to be paid to the instructor at the first class.  

Yoga

This class develops  flexibility , strength and endurance through practice of postures and breathing. The class will be for 6 weeks on Monday nights from 6-7 and will meet in the Dance Studio at Swampscott High School. The cost is $35
