The parking problem arose because spaces at Phillips Park — about 130 of the 150 spots — are being used for a set in the Adam Sandler movie.

A sound stage is being constructed in the park so the movie can film in a controlled environment.

Town Administrator Thomas Younger said earlier that the filming is scheduled to be over by July 25.

Residents have traditionally parked their cars at Phillips Park and walked to Eisman's Beach over a path in the corner behind the football stadium bleachers.

The path is and will remain open, town officials say.

But with far fewer Phillips Park spaces available the board will seek alternative spots to accommodate beach-goers.
