Pitman Road Parking Gets Morning Restriction on One Side

Selectmen also referred a Beach Bluff Park proposal from Sheryl Levenson to the Traffic Advisory Committee.

They agreed to the Traffic Advisory Committee's recommendation that parking on the even number side of Pitman Road from 35 Pitman Road to Essex Street be restricted to residents only from 6 to 10 a.m.

Residents had complained that the commuter rail passengers were parking on their narrow street, making it difficult for them to park or for a fire truck or other emergency vehicles to pass down the street.

Selectmen referred a request by Sheryl Levenson to the Traffic Advisory Committee.

She asked that the town add handicapped only parking signs on two spaces at the Beach Bluff Park and to ban parking in front of the lone curb cut to the beach to allow wheelchair beachgoers and parents with strollers to access the beach.
