Adding the facilities coordinator will make a handy person available in-house.

"Getting the right person is the key," said board member Peter McCarriston.

The right person will need a variety of skills.

The town has a long list of projects for the coordinator to chip away at, said Personnel Manager Nancy Lord.

The new employee would start work July 1.

One of the projects will include reroofing the Atlantic Handtub building next to the Fire Station.

The employee would work at town buildings including Town Hall, the fire and police stations, and the library.
