Outsourcing and Regionalization on Selectmen's Agenda Tonight

The board will meet tonight instead of Wednesday, which, at sunset, is the start of Rosh Hashanah.

Tonight's selectmen's meeting will include talks on regionalizing and outsourcing town services.

Board member Barry Greenfield requested this item, as well as a discussion of two other ideas, board Chairman Matt Strauss said.

Those ideas are the following: a lobbyist to secure state funding for Swampscott schools and transportation; and a lobbyist to secure federal funding for education and a Humphrey Street project.
