Local Dems to Elect Convention Delegates

The Swampscott Democratic Town Committee will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic State Convention on Saturday, February 11 @ 10:00 AM at the Swampscott Senior Center. Any Swampscott Democrat may attend the caucus and vote but they must be registered as a caucus attendee prior to 10:15.

Nine delegates will be elected – 4 male, 4 female and 1 of either gender. The Convention will be held June 2nd in Springfield.  Delegates will vote to endorse a candidate for U S Senate and consider other party business. There is a $75 convention registration fee due by April 13th; $50 for a person with disability, 65+ years old or older or a full time student. If delegate/alternate is unable to pay the registration fee, a fee waiver application can be submitted.
