The redistricting process and the importance of maintaining the 6th Congressional District intact will be examined as well as opportunities for citizen input into the process. A SDTC study group on Governance and Accountability will report on efforts to define accountability and its various permutations and to identify the roles of citizens in effectively promoting accountability of elected officials.

In addition to election activities, the SDTC is engaged in community education, civic engagement and community service. As part of its community education activities, a SDTC Film Fest, “The Politics of Inequality,” combines film, food, and discussion to examine the impact of economic and social policies on our society.
