Apply For Summer Recreation Jobs

The deadline to apply for lifeguard, park leaders and other positions is March 30. Also, tickets are on sale for the department's trip to see the Boston Red Sox play

The is now accepting application for the 2012 summer season.

Employment is available for playground park leaders, tennis instructors, sailing instructors, sailing director, lifeguards, track and field instructors, and Middle School Recreation Center leaders.

All applications are due by March 30th. Applications can be picked up in the main office of the High School, Town Hall and online on the town of Swampscott website. For more information contact the Recreation office @ 781-596-8854.

Also, with baseball right around the corner, the Swampscott Recreation Department is getting ready for its annual trip to see the Red Sox play.

The Recreation Department entourage will see the Red Sox play the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday, July 18, at Fenway Park.

The bus will leave the Town Hall at 5 pm for a 7:10 pm game and return after the game. Tickets are in Section 26 of the  3rd base grandstand.

Tickets for $70 will go on sale on March 19, on line at Swampscottrec.com or in the Recreation office.
