Woman Charged With Shoplifting at The Paper Store
The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.
Thursday, Jan. 2
8:58 a..m., a motor vehicle accident took place at the intersection of Humphrey Street and Monument Avenue. No personal injury was reported.
11:29 a.m., a caller asked that an officer look at the way a neighbor has left a motor vehicle parked on the front lawn over the winter on Ryan Place. It makes it difficult for a neighbor to back out of the driveway.
5:10 p.m., a caller reported that a manhole cover was missing under the railroad bridge and his truck fell into the hole, causing damage.
6:02 p.m., a motor vehicle reportedly struck a school zone sign and left the scene.
10:04 p.m., a man was taken into protective custody on New Ocean Street.
Friday, Jan. 3
10:44 a.m, police received a report of pick-up trucks racing in the Shirat Hayam parking lot.
11:07 a.m., seawater was reported on Atlantic Avenue. DPW to erect barricades.
11:33 a.m., police received a report of people sliding into traffic at Danvers Road and Essex Street.
11:34 a.m., Kings Beach flooding was reported.
4:32 p.m., police responded to a report of shoplifting at The Paper Store, 435 Paradise Road. Police charged Annemarie Fischer, 27, 11 Savoy Road, of South Hamilton with shoplifting.
5:50 p.m., a Paradise Road mother reported that her daughter, 14, was threatening to run away.
6:19 p.m., an officer was needed at a Paradise Road residence while a tenant moved items from an apartment.
7:20 p.m., a caller reported an accident by the railroad bridge.
