Here are arrests and police log excerpts from the most recent Swampscott police logs, between Jan. 17 and Jan. 21.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

  • 2:59 p.m. – Police arrested Joseph Young, 24, of 3286 Hebron Way, Ellenwood, Ga., on a warrant.  The warrant alleged assault and battery, intimidating a witness and threatening to commit a crime.

Thursday, Jan. 20

  • 10:23 a.m. — Police arrested Brendan Thomas, 24, of 7 Superior St., Swampscott, on a warrant alleging a parole violation.
  • 5:50 p.m. — Police arrested Lela Fronduto, 53, of 53 Lewis St., Apt. 1, Lynn. She was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. She was also cited for not being in possession of a license, making an improper turn and having an uninsured vehicle.

Monday, Jan. 17

  • 1:44 a.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Banks Road. A written warning was given.
  • 9:26 a.m. — An alarm reported at Essex Street. The building appeared to be secure. 
  • 12:29 p.m. — A minor motor vehicle accident was reported on Burrill Street. The officer assisted the operator with the information exchange.
  • 1:53 p.m. — Police received a report of two males going through vehicles on Paradise Road. The officer reported finding nothing in the area.
  • 3:01 p.m. — A Parsons Drive resident reported difficulty breathing. The EMS and Fire Department were dispatched. The resident was transported to North Shore Medical Center in Salem.
  • 5:49 p.m. — A caller reported a parking complaint on Morningside Drive.
  • 10:16 p.m. — Police received a report of an unwanted guest refusing to leave a Paradise Road location. The officer assisted the person with a cab transfer.

Tuesday, Jan. 18

  • 6:11 a.m. — Police made a motor vehicle stop on Oakledge Road. A citation was issued.
  • 8:02 a.m. — A caller reported a motor vehicle was stuck in the entrance to a Paradise Road parking lot.
  • 9:35 a.m. — A caller reported a disabled vehicle on Capen Road. An officer assisted with a tow call.
  • 2:34 p.m. — A minor motor vehicle accident was reported on Forest Avenue.
  • 3:59 p.m. — A resident came to the station and requested assistance with a power outage. A police officer called National Grid.
  • 4:39 p.m. — A National Grid lineman reported that his vehicle was smoking under the hood on Hardy Road. The Fire Department was dispatched to the scene.
  • 7:14 p.m — A caller reported water coming through the ceiling on Paradise Road. The Fire Department was notified.
  • 11:33 p.m. — An accident was reported on Humphrey Street. The Fire Department was dispatched. No injury was reported.

Wednesday, Jan. 19

  • 2:41 a.m. — Police conducted a park and walk inspection on Curry Circle. The area was checked.
  •  7:02 a.m. — An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Paradise Road. The officer issued a written warning.
  •  8:16 a.m. — A caller reported a vehicle parked in a handicapped parking space in front of a house on Pine Street. Police ticketed the vehicle.
  • 9:58 a.m. — A low wire was reported on Forest Avenue. Police notified Verizon.
  • 2:43 p.m. — A caller reported an unwanted party at a Redington address. Police determined that a warrant had been issued for the party’s arrest. The party was arrested.
  • 5:24 p.m. — Police received a call from Lynn police requesting assistance stopping a plow truck that was involved in an accident in Lynn. A Swampscott officer observed the truck entering Marblehead. A Marblehead police officer stopped the truck driver. He was charged with operating under the influence.
  • 10:08 p.m. — Marblehead police reported a motorist was behind an erratic operator. An officer observed the vehicle on the curb. The operator had lost control of the vehicle due to slippery road conditions.

Thursday, Jan. 20

  • 7:24 a.m. — Police received a report of a Redington Road resident falling and hitting her head. She was transported for medical aid.
  • 7:33 a.m. — Police received a report of a Doherty Circle resident falling. The man refused medical assistance.
  • 10:02 a.m. — A probation officer requested that a police officer stand by for a possible warrant arrest on Humphrey Street.
  • 1:19 p.m. — A bank card was found in an ATM and was brought to the police station and placed in the lost and found book.
  • 1:41 p.m. — An elderly man was found wandering on Humphrey Street and brought to the police station. His son was located in Chelsea and came to the station to pick his father up.
  • 3:39 p.m. — Marblehead police reported an assault and battery with deadly weapons on a group of Marblehead youths, allegedly by a large group of Swampscott youths. Officers checked routes coming in to Swampscott and saw no signs of the young people.
  • 6:03 p.m. — A caller reported a wire down at Bay View Avenue and Greenwood Avenue. Police notified Verizon.
  • 11 p.m. — A motor vehicle was stopped on Paradise Road. The officer gave the motorist a verbal warning.

Friday, Jan. 21

  • 4:33 a.m. — A loud party was reported on Cherry Street. Music was shut off at the party..
  • 7:04 a.m.— A superintendent reported activating an alarm by accident at a Middlesex Avenue building.
