Walker Attacked and Robbed on Paradise

The police investigation continues after a late-night walker was robbed early Wednesday morning.

Police continue their investigation into the assault and robbery on Paradise Road early Wednesday morning.

As of late Wednesday, no arrests had been made, said Swampscott police Det. Tim Cassidy.

The victim, a man walking home to Lynn, was knocked to the ground and beaten with what is thought to have been a baseball bat.

The incident took place at 2:18 a.m.; the location, 95 Paradise Road.

The suspects, two or three individuals wearing black clothing and hiding their faces under ski masks, robbed the victim of his iPhone 4 and a gold chain, said Swampscott police Det. Tim Cassidy.

First, though, they threw him to the ground, demanding money, police said.

"The suspects struck the victim in the head and in the ribs with an object believed to be a bat."

The victim was taken to the hospital with bruises to his head, forearm and wrist, police said. He was treated and released.
