Two Residents Charged With Assault and Battery

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, July 19

  • At 1:13 a.m., police were flagged down and told about two men checking driveways on Berkshire Street. Police searched but did not see them.
  • At 7:02 a.m., police received a report of someone staggering and possibly drunk on the railroad tracks heading towards the Swampscott Rail Station.
  • At 9:54 a.m., police responded to an accidental alarm triggered at 440 Paradise Road.
  • At 1:13 p.m., police charged Karin Sacco, 43, 16 Ridge Ave., Lynn with assault and battery, disorderly conduct and littering.
  • At 2:15 p.m., a sewer back-up was reported on Ellis Road.
  • At 2:44 p.m., police received a report of a man having problems navigating a sailboat behind a Puritan Road home. The harbormaster was notified.
  • At 3:28 p.m., a motor vehicle accident, no injury, was reported at 304 Essex Street.
  • At 5 p.m., a Claremont Terrace caller reported that a neighbor’s umbrella was damaging her garage door.
  • At 8:37 p.m., a Jessie Street caller wanted to talk to an officer about an ongoing incident.

Saturday, July 20

  • At 00:18 a.m., police charged Raymond Levasseur, 31, 42 Pleasant St., Swampscott, with domestic assault and battery.
