Two Dogs Reportedly Left in Hot Car

Tuesday, July 8
A pickup truck had been reportedly parked in front of a Stetson Avenue home for five days at 8:04 a.m.

The house cleaner reported that an elderly female was not home when they arrived at an Essex Avenue address at 10 a.m. even though a purse was on the table. Police found that she was at a doctor’s appointment.
An 18-wheel truck was blocking traffic near Tony Len’s at Essex Street and Cherry Court at 10:12 a.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard requested that an Aspen Road resident be notified about his boat at 1:27 p.m. Police spoke to the man, who said he lost the vessel traveling to Martha’s Vineyard and he is OK.
A blue and red boy’s bicycle was found at the field house on Humphrey Street at 2:37 p.m.
A wife requested a well-being check of her husband at a Thomas Road address. She called several times and there was no answer. Police found that he was not feeling well.
A Suffolk Avenue resident reported that his driveway was blocked by a vehicle at 3:17 p.m. and he would like to meet with an officer.
A manhole cover was out of place on Humphrey Street near the former Red Rock Bistro at 4:41 p.m. An officer put it back on.
Five cars were ticketed during parking enforcement on Shepard Avenue at 6:14 p.m.
A caller reported that a green Toyota Camry was parked on the Essex Street side of the Stop and Shop parking lot on Paradise Road with two dogs inside at 6:25 p.m. The windows were only slightly cracked open, the caller said. An officer spoke to the owner and found that the windows were down and the dogs were not in distress.
A well-being check was conducted on a young female at an Eureka Avenue address at 10:19 p.m. Police found that she was all set.
Wednesday, July 9
A caller on Young Avenue said her alarm is going off at 12:18 a.m. and was concerned.
A suspicious circumstance was reported on Hampden Street at 2:46 a.m. where youths were riding behind a vehicle.
Somebody reported that there were youths on bicycles near Pine and Superior streets at 3:39 a.m. Police found they lived in the area.
