Three People Caught Breaking and Entering In the Day

The following information was submitted by the Swampscott Police Department. When arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police log:

Tuesday, July 26

  • A suspicious motor vehicle was spotted on Paradise Road at 1:12 a.m. Police assisted the motorist.
  • At 10:19 a.m. a resident of Puritan Road reported someone had stolen something off the deck. Police took a report.
  • At 5:04 p.m. police arrested Michael J. Keenan, 46, of 44 Burpee Road and charged him with domestic assault and battery.
  • At 6:31 p.m. police received calls about a car accident with injuries on Paradise Road. The accident was in Salem and Salem Police responsed.
  • At 7:28 p.m. a Phillips Street resident reported a male party caused damage to his neighbor's property then "possibly exposed himself."

  • At 11 a.m. an Ingalls Terrace resident told police their bike was stolen.
  • A resident of Crescent Street reported to police a moped was stolen at 11:54 a.m.
  • At 12:47 p.m. a resident of Longwood Drive complained about hearing fireworks.
  • At 2:48 p.m. several residents around Tupelo Road reported a power outage. National Grid responded.
  • At 4:47 p.m. Salem Police notified Swampscott Police about a male on the commuter rail who had ben spitting blood in Salem. Swampscott Police did find him.
  • At 8:31 p.m. Police received reports of youths fighting in the park on Humphrey Street. The youths were gone before police arrived.

  • At 1:09 p.m. a police unit found a car parked on Aspen Road with the trunk and doors open.
  • At 2:51 p.m. A resident of Ryan Place told police there was a possibly dead cat in the woods that "was killed by two boys who were in the woods."
  • At 5:09 p.m. Police spoke to a group of youths congregating in a vacant lot on Hillside Avenue.

Saturday, July 30

  • A person on Humphrey Street reported an unknown male shoved him at 7:56 p.m.
  • At 9:59 p.m. Police were called to a loud party on Shepard Avenue.
  • At 10:12 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident without injuries on Humphrey Street.

Sunday, July 31

  • A resident of Beach Avenue told police someone tried to steal his bike at 3:52 a.m.
  • At 10:34 p.m. a person on Essex Street told police they saw two scooters driving erratic. Police observed the scooters and said they seemed normal.

Monday, August 1

  • At 11 a.m. the Board of Health reported a code violation at an Essex Street location for a party power sanding. Officers found no power sanding going on.
  • At 6:48 p.m. Police and Fire responded to a home for a person choking. The person was no longer choking when personnel arrived.

Police made the following arrests:

  • Kyle Nihan, 23, 6 Spruce Way, Peabody, was arrested Friday at 4:04 p.m. and charged with failure to stop or yield, driving while under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and equipment violation.
  • Willie Raymond Hall, 23, 135 Ocean St., Lynn, was arrested Sunday at 8:38 p.m. on charges of driving after license suspension.
  • Michael Carson Falvey, 21, 131 Ocean St., Lynn, was arrested Monday at 1:47 p.m. and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250, Wanton destruction of property over $250, breaking and entering in the day for felony and leaving a person in fear, intimidating a witness and attempt to commit a crime.
  • Chelsee E. Allain, 21, 1097 Humphry St., Swampscott, was arrested Monday at 2:12 p.m. and charged with breaking and entering in the day for felony and leaving a person in fear, receiving stolen property under $250 and attempt to commit a crime. 
  • Jamaal White, 20, 11 Upham St., Lynn, was arrested Monday at 2:36 p.m. and charged with destruction of property over $250, Wanton destruction of property over $250, attempt to commit a crime and breaking and entering in the day for felony.
