Teens Charged With OUI and Underage Possession

The 16-year-old and 17-year-old face additional charges including resisting arrest.

 

A teen who fled police in a vehicle was charged with OUI, liquor.

Another teen who fled on foot was charged with possessing alcohol.

Both of them face additional charges following an incident late Friday.

Police responded to a call at 11:11 p.m., reporting a suspicious vehicle parked for 15 to 20 minutes at Phillips Beach Avenue and Stonecleave Lane, according to a police report.

Upon police's arrival, suspects fled on foot and a suspect in a motor vehicle fled.

The driver was 16, a Swampscott resident.

He was charged with OUI, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to stop for police, speeding, being under 21 and possessing liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, a learner's permit violation and disturbing the peace.

Police received a call about a youth jumping a fence and an open shed door on Phillips Beach Avenue.

The second person was apprehended on Littles Point Lane.

A K-9 was called in to help search for additional suspects.

The 17-year-old, also from Swampscott, was charged with resisting arrest, being under 21 and possessing liquor, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.
