Marblehead Teen Arrested for Phillips Park Assault Faces New Charges

Bradley Conrad, 18, was arrested by Marblehead police Sunday for an alleged domestic assault.

 

A Marblehead teen who has been arrested for three violent crimes in the last three months was arrested by Marblehead police Sunday night following an alleged fight.

One of those incidents took place in Swampscott.

On Aug. 26, of 53 Cloutman's Lane, Marblehead, was accused of violently attacking and robbing another teen at and was arraigned on armed robbery and assault charges.

On Aug. 29, Conrad was released and placed on probation for the armed robbery arrest, according to court documents.

Sunday at 7:58 p.m., Marblehead police received multiple 911 calls reporting a loud fight on Cloutman's Lane. When they arrived, the alleged victim reportedly told police that Conrad, who used to live at the residence, entered the home to ask for money for a bus ride to Lynn.

When the request for money was denied, Conrad reportedly "ran at (the victim) and started punching (them) in the face," according to court documents.

After placing Conrad under arrest, police reportedly found the victim's face to be red and swollen from being punched, found defensive wounds on their hands and noticed that Conrad had swelling to his knuckles, indicating that he was the aggressor.

The alleged victim was reportedly transported to Salem Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during the fight, which spilled out onto the front lawn, according to police.

Several items inside of the home, including a microwave, were reportedly damaged during the incident.

On Monday, the 18-year-old pleaded innocent in Lynn District Court to a charge of domestic assault and battery.

A judge set Conrad's bail at $500 and ordered that he return to court on Sept. 20 for a pretrial hearing. He had not posted bail by the time court closed Monday afternoon.

In July, he was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer at an underage drinking party He was arrested in March for allegedly threatening to bring a knife to Marblehead High School to kill another student and in May for his role in an alleged attempted robbery near Cafe Vesuvius.
