Swampscott Police Arrest Saugus Woman After Crash

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police Department's log: 

Friday, Feb. 14

  • At 5:32 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Essex Street.
  • At 10:10 a.m., police responded to a report of wires down on New Ocean Street.
  • At 3:32 p.m., police responded to a report of an exposed hole in the ground on Puritan Road.
  • At 4:57 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Alvin Road and Essex Street. Joseph Dalton, 50, of 36 Eutaw Ave., Lynn, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, 8th subsequent offense and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Saturday, Feb. 15

  • At 12:49 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Burrill Street.
  • At 4:19 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Humphrey Street.

Sunday, Feb. 16

  • At 1:19 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on New Ocean Street.
  • At 5:54 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Paradise Road.
  • At 7:45 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Essex Street.
  • At 7:12 p.m., police conducted a building check on Middlesex Avenue.
  • At 9:38 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Paradise Road.

Monday, Feb. 17

  • At 1:39 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Ellis and Paradise roads. Jessica Ring-Deoliveira, 22, of 333 Central St., Saugus, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
