Swampscott Pair Charged With B&E at Humphrey Street Residence

The man and woman allegedly broke into a fellow resident's apartment and removed a convection oven and other items.

 

Two Swampscott residents are scheduled for hearings in July in Lynn District Court on breaking and entering charges.

Robin Kelly, 48, and John Furey, 45, both of 246 Humphrey St., Floor 3, were arrested by on May 7, and charged with breaking and entering in the night for a felony and receiving stolen property over $250, police said.

They were arraigned the following day in Lynn District Court and released on personal recognizance bail.

The pair allegedly entered a second-floor apartment in the same complex where they live and removed items including clothing and a convection oven, according to court documents.

The victim told police that she had been away from her apartment for about a week. Upon returning, she discovered items were missing, the documents state.

Both Kelly and Furey told police that the oven was given to them and that they removed items that had been stolen from them, the report states.

Kelly and Furey are due back in Lynn District Court on July 17, for a pretrial hearing.
