Swampscott Nanny Charged With Mistreatment
The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.
Sunday, Dec. 1
12:23 p.m., a Lewis Road resident reported an ongoing problem with a next-door neighbor.
4:50 p.m., a caller reported that a motor vehicle struck his motor vehicle while it was pulling out of the Fish House parking lot. No injury was reported.
5:13 p.m., a King Street caller asked an officer to take a report about a possible crime by a nanny.
Police charged Regina Weber, 18, of King St., Swampscott with neglect-mistreatment by caretaker for an elderly/disabled person.
5:58 p.m., police received a report of a motor vehicle hitting a utility pole by the C&L Package Store. The vehicle reportedly left the scene. National Grid was notified.
9:32 p.m., Parties came to the station and reported a scam involving fake watches.
