Suspicious Incident Was Father Looking for Son

Swampscott police investigated a report from two boys earlier today that a motorist motioned for them to get inside his car.

Swampscott police investigated a suspicious incident involving a man who motioned for two boys toward his car's open door today.

Officers located the man. It turned out he was only looking for his own son, who was walking home from school.

The incident was reported by two 11-year-old boys who were walking home from school in the vicinity of Foster Road and Windsor Avenue.

They were approached by an unknown man who was driving an older model black Mercedes with a red Massachusetts registration plate.
