Thursday, March 31

  •     5:10 p.m. — Antonio Rosario, 35, of 41 Sampson Ave., Swampscott was charged with domestic assault and battery. 

Saturday, April 2

  •       2:45 p.m. — Freddie Alvarez Jr., 22, of 9 High St., Apt. 1, in Salem was charged with having a knife more than 2.5-inches long, driving a motor vehicle with a suspended license, driving a motor vehicle with a suspended registration and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.

Wednesday, March 30

  • 3:31 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Humphrey Street. The area was checked and found to be secure.
  • 8:57 a.m. — A health aid reported arriving to Vantage Terrace for a visit and finding the door to the residence was smashed open. The health aid was told that firefighters had to force their way into the home to carry out a medical aid call.
  • 10:29 a.m. — A caller reported that a 17-year-old was threatening to harm himself with a knife. The 17-year-old boy was transferred to Salem Hospital.
  • 2:55 p.m. — The school resource officer reported larceny at the high school. 
  • 4:57 p.m. — A Forest Avenue resident reported coming home and finding his house had been broken into. 
  • 8:40  p.m. — A Burrill Street resident found a dog, a husky,

Thursday, March 31

  • 2:28 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail at the Cherry Street housing complex. All was quiet. 
  • 2:30 p.m. — An officer helped with property removal at an Eastman Avenue location. 
  •   4:01 p.m. — Police received a report of a stray puppy being found on Atlantic Avenue. The department’s animal control officer was notified. 
  • 5:03 p.m. — A Sampson Road resident called police to report an unwanted man at her house. The police office placed the man under arrest, charging him with domestic assault and battery.  
  • 6:35 p.m. — A resident reported that copper wire had been stolen from the Sculpin Way property. 

Friday, April 1

  • 1:21 a.m. — A police officer carried out a park and walk detail on New Ocean Street. The area was checked. 
  • 8:18 a.m. — A resident on Beach Bluff Avenue reported a motor vehicle had been broken into and a briefcase stolen. 
  • 10:14 a.m. — Police received a report of a teacher with an irregular heartbeat at an Essex Street location. The teacher was transported to Salem Hospital.  
  • 5:36 pm. — Police responded to a report of an argument between an uncle and a nephew on Redington Street.
  • 8:01 p.m. — A Paradise Road caller reported the theft of a large number of items.

Saturday, April 2

  • 7:14 a.m. — Police received a report that an elderly man had fallen and cut his face at a Paradise Road location.
  • 11:05 a.m. A Maple Avenue resident reported that a BMW had been parked at the location without a sticker for two weeks. Police spoke to the motor vehicle’s owner, who agreed to move the vehicle. 
  • 12:43 p.m. — A police officer carried out a park and walk detail on Paradise Road. The area was checked. 
  • 2:21 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Paradise Road and found the driver was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and revoked insurance. The driver was placed under arrest and the vehicle towed.
  • 6:49 p.m. — Police responded to a 911 call from a Paradise Road location and placed a man in protective custody.

Sunday, April 3

  • 1:01 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call reporting a woman on the ground on Humphrey Street. Firefighters and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene and the woman was transported for medical aid.  
  • 9:29 a.m. — Police responded to an alarm activation on Atlantic Avenue. The homeowner said the alarm was triggered accidentally. 
  • 11:58 a.m. — Police received a report of a fire hydrant being struck at Vaughn Place. 
  • 1:46 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an argument between a resident and a guest on Pine Street.
  • 3:21 p.m. — A Pierro Terrace caller reported a woods fire. The fire department was notified. 
  • 5:10 p.m. — A caller reported that one of her dogs had been attacked by another dog on Cherry Street. The department’s animal control officer was notified.  
  • 11:31 p.m. — A 17-year-old girl called police saying that her father wanted her out of the house and that she wanted the police to respond to the residence. 

Monday, April 4 

  • 1:32 a.m. — A police officer carried out a park and walk detail on Paradise Road. The area was checked and secured. 
  • 3:14 a.m. — An officer conducted a park and walk detail on Humphrey Street. The area was secured.
