Shaving Cream, Eggs and Snowballs

The following is an excerpt from thelog:

Monday,  Oct. 31

  • At 6:41 p.m. police got a complaint about youth with shaving cream and eggs bothering younger children on Forest Avenue.
  • At 7:02 p.m. police got a complaint about kids throwing eggs.
  • At 7:35 p.m. a Forest Avenue resident called police to say kids had covered a fence with shaving cream. Police moved the youth along.
  • At 7:39 p.m. police got a report of kids throwing eggs at cars on Humphrey Street.
  • At 8:05 p.m. police received a call about kids possibly throwing rocks at Hadley School.
  • At 8:09 a large group of kids were reportedly hurling snowballs at cars.

  • At 8:42 p.m. employees at a Humphrey Street business reported a suspicious SUV in the parking lot.

Wednesday, Nov. 2

  • At 7:06 a.m. a caller reported a suspicious man in their Humphrey Street driveway.
  • At 8:02 a.m. a caller reported vandalism to the snack shack at the
  • At 9:35 a.m. a town resident came to the police station with a money pouch that he found in the parking lot of the T.J. Maxx store in Salem. Police notified the business owner who lost the pouch.

  • At 5:20 p.m. police received a report of a past breaking and entering of a motor vehicle on Paradise Road. 

Friday, Nov. 4

  • At 12:50 p.m. a Manson Street resident reported being harassed by a neighbor.

 Saturday, Nov. 5

  • At 9:25 p.m. a Vaughn Place resident reported that teenagers rang his doorbell and ran off. The resident followed the teens in his car and a teen called police saying someone was following him.  Police spoke to the resident and the teens.

Sunday, Nov. 6

  • At 1:20 a.m. on Hillside Avenue a caller reported that his wife was driving and struck two parked cars.
  • At 5:46 p.m. a caller reported that a large group of young people were running through yards and ringing doorbells.

 Monday, Nov. 7

  • At 9:32 a.m. a Humphrey Street caller asked to speak with an officer about stolen medication. 

The following people were arrested:

  • Alfredo Blanco, 34, of 74 Humphrey St. was arrested and charged with operating motor vehicle with a license suspended for OUI.
  • Mary Allen, 32, of 11 Cherry Court, was arrested and charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
