The Swampscott Firefighters' Union 1459 Facebook tells of the passing of retired Captain Harold "Buddy" Jacobs. "Buddy" as he was affectionately called, was a well respected and well liked guy. Captain Jacobs retired on July 5, 1984 after many years serving the community of Swampscott and the surrounding cities and towns at many fires and other emergency calls.
Wake and funeral arrangements for retired Captain Jacobs is tentatively as follows: Wake will be Wednesday November 6th 4-8pm at the Solimine funeral home-New Ocean Street Lynn with the funeral at 10am Thursday at the First Church Congregational 40 Monument Avenue Swampscott.
