Resident Finds Himself on Dating Website

Wednesday, April 25

  • At 1:36 p.m., an elderly female reported she and her dog were attacked by two unleashed pitbulls on Paradise Road.

  • At 3:37 p.m., a resident of Valley Road reported a neighbor using heavy machinery. 
  • At 5:09 p.m., an accident with injury was reported on Humphrey Street.

Friday, April 27

  • At 4:11 a.m., a burst water pipe was reported at Galloupes Point.
  • At 3:23 p.m., a low hanging wire was reported on Norfolk Avenue.
  • At 5:25 p.m., police monitored prom traffic on Essex Street.

Saturday, April 28

  • The DPW was notified at 9:28 a.m. after traffic lights were not cycling correctly on Essex Street.
  • At 2:34 p.m., a mulch fire was reported on Paradise Road. The Fire Department was notified.
  • At 4:38 p.m., a parent reported his son was being accused of stealing a watch at Abbot Park.
  • At 6:21 p.m., a Paradise Road business reported a man in a back room going through personal property. The man took off running when he was caught by the employee. Police did not locate the man.
  • At 8:25 p.m., police settled an argument between two youths and their parents on Forest Avenue. 
  • At 9:26 p.m., three intoxicated youths were reported around the Swampscott Mall. No youths were there when police arrived.
  • At 9:39 p.m., police quieted a group of youths yelling at each other on Humphrey Street.

Sunday, April 29

  • A deer was spotted on Ocean Avenue at 1:37 a.m.
  • At 10:34 p.m., a Paradise Road resident reported a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and carrying a backpack, rang her doorbell and asked for directions. The resident thought it was suspicious. When police questioned the man, he said he really was lost. 

Monday, April 30

  • At 6:44 p.m., police responded to an accident involving a bus on Forest Avenue. There were no injuries.
  • At 7:03 p.m., a Minerva Street resident reported someone used his name to make a dating profile on an online dating service.
  • At 8:13 p.m., a resident of Stanley Road called police because she was having difficulty with her gas grill.
  • A dead raccoon was reported on Essex Street at 9:21 p.m.

Tuesday, May 1

  • A dead raccoon was reported in the l yard at 8:56 a.m.
  • An Essex Street resident returned home at 1:45 p.m. and found her apartment broken into.

Wednesday, May 2

  • At approximately 5 p.m., police were called to the beach for a report of kids in a car possibly drinking. When police arrived, they found kids drinking root beer.
