Possible Overdose and Accident on Essex

Sunday, May 19

  • At 9:08 a.m., police and fire responded to Capen Road and Essex Street for a report of a car into a pole. The operator was injured.
  • At 9:48 a.m., a Norfolk Avenue caller reported a mattress was dumped on her property and it was blocking the sidewalk. It appeared the mattress may have fallen off a truck, police said after responding. DPW was notified.
  • At 9:53 a.m., an Ingalls Terrace resident reported that a parked motor vehicle was struck overnight.
  • At 10:33 a.m., an Ingalls Terrace resident said a neighbor threatened to call police as she accused him of breaking and entering.
  • At 3:07 p.m., Redington Street parents reported a threat against their son on social media.

Monday, May 20

  • At 6:19 a.m., a resident reported her husband possibly overdosed with prescription drugs. The man was cold to the touch and not responsive. Detectives were notified.
  • At 6:34 a.m., a Charlotte Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 6:45 a.m., another Charlotte Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 6:52 a.m., another Charlotte Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 6:54 a.m., another Charlotte Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 6:58 a.m., another Charlotte Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 7:09 a.m., a Bates Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 7:12 a.m., a Gale Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 8:09 a.m., a Beverly Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 8:17 a.m., another Beverly Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 8:22 a.m., a Winshaw Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 8:27 a.m., another Bates Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 9:01 a.m., another Gale Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 10:37 a.m., a Holly Circle caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 4:16 p.m., a Rockyledge Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 5:30 p.m., police charged Briana Riley, 28, 34 Mountain Ave., Lynn with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and suspended registration and driving an uninsured vehicle.
  • At 6:58 p.m., another Bates Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 7:28 p.m., a Shelton Road caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle.
  • At 9:13 a.m., a Paradise Road caller requested that police remove her husband from the penthouse.
