Police Arrest Lynn Teen for Destroying Property

The following is the Swampscott police log from May 26-30.

Arrests

  • At 2:34 a.m., on Wednesday, May 26, police arrested Sean Patrick Driscoll Jr., 19, 13 Manson St., Lynn, and charged him with destruction of property more than $250, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace. Police made the arrest after responding to Essex and Beach streets about people jumping fences in the area.
  • At 1:32 p.m., on Wednesday, May 26, police arrested Cody Farris, 18, 59 President St., Lynn, and charged him with domestic assault and battery, assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.

  • At 6:20 a.m., police received a report of an injured seagull on Humphrey Street. Animal control was notified.
  • At 8:38 a.m., police responded to Essex Street at Beach Avenue about a man wandering into traffic. An officer spoke to the man and asked him to stay on the sidewalk.
  • At 10:20 a.m., a person reported a solicitor outside the post office. An officer found the alleged solicitor was handing out political leaflets.
  • At 12:58 p.m., police arrested a man outside the library and charged him with domestic violence.
  • At 8:23 p.m., a Greenwood Avenue resident called police about baby raccoons running around a parking lot. Police notified animal control.
  • At 9:37 p.m., an Elmwood Road resident called police about a woman in her backyard. Police spoke to the woman who said she went into the backyard to get away from a car that was following her.

Friday, May 27

  • At 1:26 p.m., police responded to Paradise Road about a motor vehicle accident. The accident was minor and police helped the parties exchange papers.
  • At 1:57 p.m., police received a call about a man selling radio equipment on Paradise Road. An officer spoke to the man and sent him on his way.
  • At 3:01 p.m., police received a call about a man who fell on rocks in the water and possibly broke his leg on Humphrey Street. He was taken to Salem Hospital.
  • At 4:21 p.m., police responded to Paradise Road about a motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries.
  • At 9:32 p.m., a Sargant Road resident reported a stolen toolbox from his yard.

Saturday, May 28

  • At 11:14 a.m., a Hawser Lane resident reported a solicitor. An officer spoke to the solicitor and sent him on his way.
  • At 11:50 a.m., a person returned a set of keys that were found at Redington and Sheridan streets.
  • At 2:20 p.m., police responded to Paradise Road about a stolen purse.
  • At 11:53 p.m., a Thomas Road resident reported a purple Gary Fisher bike was stolen from a yard.

Sunday, May 29

  • At 7:30 a.m., a person brought an iPad that was found on the beach to the police station.
  • At 9:53 p.m., loud youths on Puritan Road were sent on their way.

Monday, May 30

  • At 7:26 a.m., a Farragut Road resident reported yard sale items were taken overnight.
  • At 11:51 a.m., police responded to a car accident on Essex Street. There were no injuries.
  • At 8:31 p.m., a Swampscott resident reported being harassed over the Internet.
