Swampscott police released this photograph of missing kayaker Maryan Lisovich, 23, Sunday shortly after 8 pm.
The Coast Guard suspended its water search for the Lynn man at sunset Sunday after 24 hours of looking for him from the air and on the water.
He was last seen wearing no shirt and red trunks as he shoved off in a kayak from on Saturday at 4 pm.
Maryan was reported missing on Saturday at 5:30 pm. Ninety minutes later, at 7 pm, his blue kayak was found overturned in the surf in the area of
Swampscott police and firefighters will continue to look for the missing man through the night.
A Coast Guard spokesman said that two to three years ago, a person they were searching for along the Massachusetts coast had come ashore, injured, and was found disoriented on a homeowner's porch many hours after he was reported missing.
