Person Hooked on Pier

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 17

  • At 9:30 a.m., police received a report of a green pick-up truck parked for several weeks in front of a Rock Avenue residence.
  • At 11:30 a.m., a Cherry street resident reported finding a threatening letter on the door to the residence.
  • At 11:59 a.m., police received a report of an unwanted male guest who refused to leave a Cherry Court residence. 
  • At 3:55 p.m.m police received a report of youth jumping off the pier and causing a disturbance.
  • At 5:17 p.m., a motor vehicle theft was reported on Columbia Street.
  • At 5:55 p.m., police received a report of a person on the fish pier with a fish hook or some other item impaled in the ankle. Firefighters responded and the person was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • At 9:01 p.m., police received a report of a past break to a Jessie Street residence where electronics were missing.
