Person Falls at Post Office

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Jan. 16

7:12 a.m., an elderly man flagged down a motorist on Humphrey Street and asked him to call police. The elderly man said he thought someone might be in his basement.

7:34 a.m., an iPhone was reported as lost at the train station.

8:30 a.m., a motor vehicle was ticketed at the train station.

9:09 a.m., police received a report of a man with a shoe box going through recycle bins possibly seeking info with people's identity included.

9:52 a.m., a past hit and run was reported on Dennison Avenue.

12:36 p.m., Steven Marshall, 35, of 51 Coburn St, in Lynn turned himself in on larceny charges.

2:52 p.m., a caller reported her cat was on a neighbor's roof.

3:13 p.m., the animal control officer retrieved a black Lab at Carson Terrace and Foster Road. The animal appeared to be injured.

Friday, Jan. 17

1:41 a.m., a 16-year-old boy got into an argument. He was transported home to Walker Road. Police spoke with his parents.

9:37 a.m., a person fell inside the Swampscott Post Office and injured a shoulder. The person was transported to the hospital.

9:54 a.m., a caller reported an abandoned vehicle loaded with metal at the old cemetery dump.

1:49 a.m., a sick or injured raccoon was reported to be in a backyard on Walker Road. The animal was picked up.
