Tuesday, June 14

12:01 a.m. Police assisted another agency.

9:25 a.m. A resident reported to police her boat was hitting a boat close to her mooring. The Harbormaster was notified.

10:34 a.m. A resident of Burrill Street reported a case of identity theft. Police took a report.

11:59 a.m. Police received a report of suspicious activity on Maple Avenue. The person told police groceries were left on the person's porch overnight. Everything was in order when police checked.

2:45 p.m. A person told police they had witnessed a hit and run accident involving two vehicles on Stetson Avenue.

Wednesday, June 15

3:45 a.m. A missing juvenile was reported from Cherry Street. The juvenile later returned home.

5:51 a.m. A power outage was reported on Magnolia Road.

1:20 p.m. A vehicle was reportedly broken into on Paradise Road.

2:30 p.m. A resident reported a problem with ice cream truck drivers on Whitman Road.

6:19 p.m. A resident of Pine Street reported someone "yelling on their cell phone"  while working on cars with "heavy machinery." 

8:37 p.m. Police received a report of a smell of marijuana coming from the basketball courts on Middlesex Avenue.

9:58 p.m. Police received a complaint about fireworks on Cherry Street.

Thursday, June 16

3:27 a.m. Police responded to a noise complaint on Humphrey Street.

7:29 p.m. Police received a call about the Harbormasters' office door left open. Police checked and contractor's had left the door open.

Friday, June 17

9:59 a.m. A caller told police a motorcyclist was riding on the sidewalk along Essex Street.

4:38 p.m. An injured bird was reported on Elmwood Road.

8:50 p.m. Police received a call about two parties carrying a television down the street on Hillcrest Circle. Police found the television on the sidewalk in Lynn.

11:14 a.m. A caller reported a group of youths fighting on Middlesex Avenue. 

Saturday, June 18

7:59 a.m. A squirrel was trapped in a bird feeder. The animal eventually freed itself. 

Sunday, June 19

12:30 a.m. A person told police kids were being loud on the pier.

The following people were arrested over the past week:

  • Anthony Gubitosi, 34, 33 Laighton St., Lynn, was arrested on  Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. and charged with driving after license suspension, driving with a suspended registration, driving uninsured, driving unregistered and plate violation.
  • Miguel A. Baez, 21, 12 Pope St., Salem, was arrested Tuesday at 7:38 p.m. and charged with a passing violation and driving after license suspension.
  • Lawrence James Ianetta Jr., 44, 4 Cousins St., Salem, was arrested Saturday at 11:20 a.m. on a warrant for violating an abuse prevention order, speeding and driving after license suspension. 
  • Edgard Michel Arty, 33, 15 Ocean Terrace, Lynn, was arrested Saturday at 5:12 p.m. and charged with making an illegal U-turn, driving without a license and failure to notify the Registry of Motor Vehicles of an address or name change, marked lanes violation and negligent driving.
