Man Reportedly Punching People

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Dec. 19

2:23 a.m., an individual was taken into protective custody on Humphrey Street.

3:42 a.m., a Puritan Road caller said a dog was running around the area and constantly barking.

9:29 a.m., the Fire Department reported that a fire engine was struck at Stanley School the day before.

6:08 p.m., a woman fell in a Loring Avenue apartment and may have been hurt. She was transported to the hospital.

7:19 p.m., police reported that two individuals were about to fight across from CVS at 388 Paradise Road.

Friday, Dec. 20

7:37 a.m., a caller from Shelton Road said a neighbor is harassing her and yelling at her business clients. The incident was related to a misunderstanding over parking.

1:24 p.m., paperwork was served at a Cherry Court address.

1:52 p.m., police received a report of youths throwing snowballs at passing motorists. A caller reported a motor vehicle's mirror was damaged.

8:26 p.m., a caller said a suspect was punching people at the Red Rock Bistro. The man was reportedly armed with a bottle. He is in his 40s or 50s and weighs about 200 to 210 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and a black winter hat. Police responded and are compiling a report on the incident.

9:30 p.m., a caller reported hearing a bang in a Nichols Street basement.

9:50 p.m., a car hit a pole on Essex Street. No injury was reported.

10:02 p.m., a car rolled into a stone wall on Rock Avenue.

Saturday, Dec. 21

3:18 a.m., Swampscott police performed a Breathylizer for Marblehead police in an OUI arrest.
