Man Caught Breaking Into Anthony's Pier 4

When the restaurant's alarm sounded, police found a ladder leading to the second floor of the restaurant.

An Everett man is under arrest after being caught breaking and entering to restaurant late Thursday night.

At 11:17 PM control received an alarm for Anthony’s Pier 4 restaurant. According to police within seconds of receiving the alarm, units were dispatched to the business and checking for a break in.

While officers were checking the rear of the building one officer observed a ladder leading to a second floor deck, and a window appeared to have been smashed, police said.

While monitoring the front of the closed business Officer John Cassidy observed a male party exit the front side door. Cassidy placed the man, identified as Marcelo Dos-Santos, 38, of 851 Broadway St., Everett under arrest. At this point Officers conducted a sweep of the building for more suspects. No other suspects were located.

Dos-Santos is charged with breaking and entering in the night for felony, malicious destruction of property, possession of burglarious tools, and larceny from a building.
