Log Entry of Reported Assault

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

  • 9:37 a.m., a Crossman Avenue resident reported unauthorized use of an American Express card, $1,599.
  • 10:26 a.m., well-being check requested for Hadley student. The student was sick at home.
  • 10:29 a.m., a caller reported a suspicious vehicle at Forest Avenue and Magnolia Road. The car was parked for several hours, and the operator periodically left the vehicle to walk through the neighborhood before returning to the vehicle.
  • 12:56 p.m., two men were reportedly panhandling in the Whole Foods Market parking lot. They said they had run out of gas. Their car was parked in the rear of the liquor store.
  • 4:47 p.m., a caller reported a party had two large dogs running around on Eisman's Beach. The animal was a service dog and it was taken off the beach.
  • 8:20 p.m., "CAL(L)ER SAID HER 16 Y/O DAUGHTER WAS ASSAULTED BY           AN UNK 'MEXICAN LOOKING' MALE 508-509 WAS IN A DIRTY WHITE HONDA CIVIC SAID SHE HAD JUST LEFT LIBRARY AND WAS APPROACHED BY A BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION NEXT TO THE OLD POLICE STATION THERE WERE TWO OTHER MALES IN THE BACK SEAT OF           CAR THE OPER WAS THE SUSPECT MALE SAID TO HER THAT HE HAD SEEN HER BEFORE AND KNEW WHERE SHE LIVED SUSPECT MAY HAVE PARTIALLY FOLLOWED HER TOWARDS OR ON STETSON THEN FLED IN THE DIRECTION OF STOP AND SHOP UNIT AT SCENE REQUESTED EMS           FIRE DEPT WAS NOTIFIED FROM: (2) 304 ESSEX ST FL TO (2) 304 ESSEX ST ON SCENE UPDATE OCCURRED NEAR CLARK SCHOOL UPDATED DESCRIPTION WHITE HONDA CIVIC (OR SIMILAR) 4 DR SUSPECT MED BUILD 506 30'S THIN CHIN BEARD 52 TAKING 2 FEMALES TO AREA TO PINPOINT ACTUAL LOCATION OF INCIDENT APPEARED TO BE LOW END ODD SIDE OF STETSON."
  • 9:32 p.m., a loose pit bull was reported on the front lawn of a residence near Atlantic Avenue and Puritan Pk.
  • 10:47 p.m., ongoing parking issue reported on Porter Place.
Thursday, Sept. 12
  • 1:16 a.m., open door and broken window reported at Machon School.
