Knife Fight Reportedly Tied to Atlantic Avenue Rollover in Marblehead

One person was transported to the hospital. One person was arrested. Apartment occupants were to spend the night in Swampscott.

A rollover on Atlantic Avenue led police to a Cross Street apartment where they arrested a Lynn man early Wednesday morning.

Zachary Bruso, 19, of 13 Pacific St., Lynn, was charged with disorderly conduct.

At 1:37 a.m., Marblehead police, fire and and ambulance crews responded to a 911 report of a rollover near 359 Atlantic Ave.

A utility pole with a street light on it was snapped. One person was transported to the hospital, according to the log.

Police blocked Atlantic Avenue and diverted traffic.

The driver told police that the accident took place because they were rushing to get to 4 Cross St. because of a knife fight, the log states.

Police arrived at 4 Cross St. at 2:07. They could hear people inside the apartment, #2, but no one answered the door.

Some people fled out the back door and some remained at the residence.

Police broke open the door and entered the apartment.

Police took one person into custody.

The occupants of the apartment were to stay in Swampscott for the night.
