Here are two arrests and excerpts from calls for service in the Swampscott police log from April 6-12.

Thursday, April 7

  •  2:53 p.m. — Joseph Fierros, 926 Parker St., Jamaica Plain, was charged with daytime breaking and entering, making obscene phone calls, disorderly conduct and threatening to commit a crime.  
  • 11:19 p.m. — Felix Yaquelin, 1000 Loring Ave., Apt. c-20, Salem, was charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident in which there was property damage and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Wednesday, April 6

  • 1:39 a.m. — A caller reported two small dogs loose in the area of Prospect Avenue.  The dogs were gone upon the officer's arrival.
  • 9:38 a.m. — Police made a motor vehicle stop on Humphrey Street and gave the driver a written warning.
  • 1:52 p.m. — Police received a report of a man in an altered mental state at Ryan Place. Fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene. The individual was not transported to the hospital. 
  • 4:58 p.m. — A Pine Street caller reported young people with a bow and arrow. The bow and arrow were homemade and the youth were advised to stop what they were doing.
  • 10:37 p.m. — Police stopped a vehicle on Paradise Road and gave the driver a written warning.

Thursday, April 7

  • 7:11 a.m. — A caller reported a dead raccoon in the street. The Board of Health was notified.
  • 12:01 p.m. — A Cherry Street mother called and requested that police respond. The mother had asked her daughter, who does not live at the residence, to leave.  The daughter left.
  • 12:42 p.m. — Police responded to a parking complaint on Humphrey Street and issued four tickets.
  • 1:31 p.m. — A resident came to the police station to report restraining order violations.
  • 2:24 pm. — A Blaney Street caller reported a person trying to knock down the door at a neighbor's residence. Police responded and arrested the door man. 
  • 10:58 p.m. — Police arrested a driver who was operating a vehicle without a license and who had an outstanding warrant.  

Friday, April 8

  • 1:03 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Curry Circle. The area was checked.
  • 9:05 a.m. — Police transported a prisoner to Lynn District Court.
  • 10:13 a.m. — Police received a report of a motor vehicle break-in on Pine Street.
  • 12:22 p.m. — An Essex Street store manager reported safety concerns about an employee who had been fired earlier in the day.
  • 3:19 p.m. — A Pine Street resident reported that a neighbor was spray painting a car in the driveway.
  • 4:21 p.m. — A small fire was reported on a railroad tie on Railroad Avenue. The Fire Department was notified and crews extinguished the fire.
  • 10:38 p.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Paradise Road.

Saturday, April 9

  • 3:17 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Humphrey Street. The area was checked and secure.
  • 8:51 a.m. — A caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Danvers Road.
  • 11:26 a.m. — Police received a report of individuals with firearms on Littles Point Road. Officers responded and found kids with air soft guns.
  • 12:12 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an argument between a motor vehicle operator and a pedestrian.
  • 4:47 p.m. — A caller reported that someone had fallen on the steps at St. John's Church. Firefighters and an ambulance responded and the woman was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • 5:35 p.m. — A person reported losing a blue bat bag from the back of his truck. The bag had a bat, glove and cleats in it.
  • 6:03 p.m. — A caller reported that a dog was running in and out of traffic on Paradise Road and was nearly hit by motor vehicles.

Sunday, April 10

  • 2:15 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Humphrey Street. The area was checked and secure.
  • 8:45 a.m. — Police received a report of a woman having a seizure on Humphrey Street. The woman was transported to the hospital.
  • 3:31 p.m. — Police received a report of larceny from a Paradise Road caller.
  • 7:01 p.m. — Police received a report of concern for a family issue on Thomas Road. Officer spoke with the person involved in the issue.

Monday, April 11

  • 2:14 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Redington Street. The area was checked and secure.
  • 9:43 a.m. — Police placed parking tickets on two vehicles on Humphrey Street.
  • 2:08 p.m. — Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Forest Avenue.
  • 4:52 p.m. — A caller reported that a person had entered his home on Longwood Drive through the garage. 
  • 5:39 p.m. — A caller reported that a small child was on a roof on Pine Street. Firefighters were dispatched. The child was safely removed from the roof upon their arrival.

Tuesday, April 12

  • 7:31 a.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Monument Avenue and gave the driver a verbal warning.
  • 9:13 a.m. — A person came to the station from Fuller Avenue and reported having problems with the father of a son's ex-girlfriend.
  • 2:02 p.m. — A Paradise Road caller reported a case of larceny.
  • 2:13 p.m. — A caller reported an intoxicated person on Bay View Avenue. Fire and ambulance crews responded, but the individual refused any aid.
  • 2:45 p.m. — Police received a report of noisy youth on Essex Street.
