Hit and Run Involving House Reported

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 30

8:15 a.m., a caller reported an apparent hit and run by a motor vehicle on Essex Street. The front stairs of the residence was damaged.

9:03 a.m., a person reported an older beige motor vehicle parked on Birch Road. A person was stopping vehicles, asking for assistance.

11:09 a.m., a son told police he has been unable to reach his mother for two days. Police went to her address on Puritan Road for a well-being check. No one answered the door.

4:24 p.m., police received a report of a three kids trying to get into the trunk of a vehicle, a Maxima, parked on Humphrey Street near Ocean Avenue. Police checked the area.

5:10 p.m., police received a report of a lost credit card and unauthorized charges.

7:55 p.m., polcie received a report that a greyhound was running around in the street at Outlook Road and Walker Road. Police did not locate the dog.

11:27 p.m., a Sherwoord Road resident fell and needed assistance getting up. The person was not injured.
