Gas Leak Prompts Evacuation at Crown Pointe Condominiums

A gas leak prompted the evacuation of a building on Paradise Road early Friday morning.


A gas leak in the basement of a four-story building at the Crown Pointe Condominiums prompted an evacuation early Friday morning.

At approximately 12 a.m., members of the Swampscott police and fire departments responded to the reported gas leak at 406 Paradise Road. 

There were no reported injuries, an officer on scene said. 

The gas line to the building was shut off and the building was ventilated.
