Tuesday, March 1

  • 7:20 p.m. — Police made a motor vehicle stop at Salem Street and Humphrey Street and gave the driver a written warning.
  • 9:05  p.m. — A resident reported finding a bottle of vodka on the sidewalk on Beverly Road.

  • 8:32 a.m. — Police checked out a vehicle reportedly parked on Spring Court for several days. There were no violations, the officer reported.
  • 8:47 a.m. — A caller reported seeing a briefcase in a snowbank. The case was brought to the police station for safekeeping.
  • 9:04 a.m. — A caller reported that someone had tried to remove tires from a motor vehicle parked overnight on Loring Avenue.
  • 4:32 p.m. — Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Atlantic Avenue.   
  • 10:36 p.m. — A police officer stopped a motor vehicle on Greenwood Avenue and gave the driver a verbal warning.
  • 10:55 p.m. — A police officer stopped a motor vehicle on Danvers Road and gave the driver a written warning.

Thursday, March 3

  • 9:51 a.m. — A man fell on a private walkway on Essex Street and may have injured his back.
  • 2:38 p.m. — Police served court papers to an Essex Avenue resident.
  • 5:36 p.m. — An employee at a Paradise Road business told police that a customer was in the store trying to activate a cell phone that was reported as stolen.
  • 8:28 p.m. —Police responded to an argument between a customer and a store clerk. The argument was over how much gas the customer had pumped. The two parties worked out their differences. 

Friday, March 4

  • 2:20 a.m. — A police officer carried out a park and walk detail on Paradise Road. The area was secure.
  • 9:53 a.m. — Police responded to an alarm at an Essex Street location. The rear door to the location was unsecured. The owner arrived on the scene.
  • 2:08 p.m. — A person reported receiving annoying phone calls.
  • 2:16 p.m. — A Bradlee Avenue neighbor complained about a dog. An officer responded to the scene and reported there was no problem. 
  • 7:02 p.m. — Police received numerous 911 calls about a disturbance at 43 Cherry Court. Someone was reportedly throwing rocks at windows. 
  • 8:00 p.m. — A woman came to the police station and reported that she had lost her wallet. 
  • 9:10 p.m. — A man reported to police that his son was missing.  The man said his son went to school in the morning, but did not come home. Police made calls to surrounding homes. The youth walked into the police station about 10 p.m.

Saturday, March 5

  • 3:44 a.m. — A caller reported a noisy group of youth outside at Priscilla Road. Police responded. Peace was restored. 
  • 8:13 a.m. — A police sergeant located an unsecured building after an alarm activation on Littles Point Road. The sergeant checked the interior of the location and everything appeared to be in order.
  • 12:23 p.m. — Police received a report of a downed wire on Essex Street. Police notified Verizon about the wire.
  • 4:09 p.m. — A person came to the police station to reregister as a sex offender. 
  • 5:11 p.m. — A person came to the police station and reported losing a cell phone near the beach.

Sunday, March 6

  • 4:58 a.m. — A motor vehicle accident was reported on Burrill Street. 
  • 1:14 p.m. — Wires were reported down on Burrill Street. Police notified Verizon about the problem.  
  • 3:21 p.m. — Larceny of a motor vehicle was reported on Pine Street.
  • 6:44 p.m. — A caller reported teenagers were in an unoccupied home on Walnut Street. Police determined it was a former resident retrieving property.
  • 9:53 p.m. — An Aspen Road resident reported that a dog acted aggressively toward her animal.
  • 10:35 p.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail at Hadley School and the fire scene. The area was checked.

Monday, March 7

  • 1:42 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on New Ocean Street and reported that C&L Package Store, the VFW and Curry Circle were in order.
  • 7:04 a.m. — A caller reported a skunk under a motor vehicle. Police responded to the scene and found that the skunk was on the move.
  • 4:21 p.m. — An officer reported that a person had been holding a stray golden retriever. The town’s animal control officer was notified.
  • 3:51 a.m. — Police responded to an alarm activation on Paradise Road.
  • 6:17 p.m. — A bank manager reported that a woman came into the bank and said someone was stealing her Social Security money. The officer responded, but the woman left the bank and said she did not want to talk to an officer.

Tuesday, March 8

  • 6:05 a.m. — Police made a motor vehicle stop on Humphrey Street and gave the driver a ticket.
  • 9:21 a.m. — A minor motor vehicle accident was reported on New Ocean Street. A police officer assisted with the information exchange.
  • 10:39 a.m. — The school resource officer reported checking on the well being of a student who has not been attending classes.
  • 3:29 p.m. — Police responded to an alarm activation on Atlantic Avenue. The house was secure.
  • 10:12 p.m — An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Atlantic Avenue and gave the driver a written warning.

Wednesday, March 9

  • 12:39 a.m. —  A police officer carried out a park and walk detail on Curry Circle. The area was checked. 
  • 1:30 a.m. — A police officer stopped a motor vehicle on Paradise Road and gave the driver a ticket.
  • 2:22 a.m. — A police officer carried out a park and walk detail on Redington Street. The area was checked.
  • 7:10 a.m. — A police officer stopped a motor vehicle on Norfolk Avenue. The officer gave the driver a ticket.
  • 8:26 a.m. — A caller reported that he was almost struck by a vehicle while crossing the street on Paradise Road. The pedestrian reported the vehicle's license plate number and the officer spoke to the driver about the incident.
  • 1:18 p.m. — Police received a report of an alarm activation on Paradise Road. The alarm company called back and said it was an accidental alarm.
