District Attorney Informs Parents About Social Liability

Prom and graduation safety information for parents is available online.

This article was submitted by DA Jonathan Blodgett's Office.

District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett has posted pertinent information about underage drinking and the Social Host Liability Law online at www.mass.gov/essexda.

“This is a very busy time of year, especially for parents of high school students.  While many schools provide information about the social host liability law and the dangers of underage drinking, not all parents can take advantage of these programs due to their demanding schedules,” Blodgett said.  “For this reason, I have posted this information online so that parents can easily access it from home.”

“We all want teens to enjoy their prom and graduation celebrations and make it home safely.  With this in mind, I hope that parents and other adults will take time to review this important information,” Blodgett said.
