Here are two arrests and excerpts from calls for service in the log, from April 12-18.

Thursday, April 14

  •       4:14 p.m. — Ricardo Reynoso, 24, of 33A Jackson St., Lynn, was stopped at the intersection of Humphrey and Pleasant streets and charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license. In addition, the vehicle he was operating did not have an inspection sticker.

Sunday, April 17

  •     12:42 a.m. — Derek White, 36, of 15 Evelyn St., Lynn, was charged with breaking and entering at night, a felony, and larceny over $250.

Tuesday, April 12

  • 4:01 p.m. — Police received a report of an assault at an Essex Street location. 
  • 4:06 p.m. — Police received a report of a man jumping in and out of traffic on Humphrey Street. The officer responded, but there was no activity on the Swampscott side of the town line. Lynn police were notified.
  • 8:48 p.m. — A caller reported two men acting suspiciously in the Pine and Erie streets area. The officer was unable to locate them.
  • 10:40 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Paradise Road and gave the driver a ticket.

Wednesday, April 13 

  • 7:41 a.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Burrill Street and gave the driver a verbal warning.  
  • 11:54 a.m. — Police received a report of a student on Essex Street having an allergic reaction due to a food allergy. The student was transported to Beverly Hospital. 
  • 3:40 p.m. — A caller reported smoke coming from an upstairs bedroom on Magnolia Road. The Fire Department was notified. The smoke was due to an electrical issue. 
  • 5:15 p.m. — Police received a report of a breaking and entering at an Aspen Street residence. Detectives were notified.
  • 7:46 pm. — A caller reported that a man fell at a Belleair Drive residence. The Fire Department and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

Thursday, April 14

  • 8:11 a.m. — Police received a report of three suspicious men in a driveway on Boynton Street. They had been ringing doorbells. An officer spoke to the men and found out it was a landlord trying to locate a tenant to gain access to the property.
  • 10:59 a.m. — A caller reported a possibly intoxicated man whose face was bloody in a Humphrey Street alley. Fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene and the man was transported to Salem Hospital. 
  • 2:07 p.m. — A caller reported that there might be a fight after school near the track and field location behind the high school. 
  • 2:48 p.m. — An Aspen Road resident reported finding an item on the sidewalk that might have been related to the breaking and entering to a nearby home from the day before.  
  • 9:47 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Humphrey Street and placed the driver under arrest for operating the vehicle without a license to do so. 

Friday, April 15

  • 6:40 a.m. — Police received numerous calls reporting a dead turkey in the road on Paradise Road. Officers removed the bird from the road. Police called the Department of Public Works to pick up the carcass. 
  • 8:22 a.m. — Police took a report from a person reporting identity theft.
  • 8:42 a.m. — A Humphrey Street employee reported a suspicious customer who was making the employees feel uneasy. Police asked the person for identification and sent him on his way. 
  • 11:28 a.m. — A caller reported a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Essex Avenue. 
  • 12:06 p.m. — A parent reported a son being bullied at the Middle School.
  • 8:03 p.m. — An employee at a Paradise Road business reported that a man had fallen down and was asking for help. Fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene and the man was transported to Salem Hospital.  

Saturday, April 16

  • 9:06 a.m. — A Devens Road resident called to report sewage backing up into the basement. The Department of Public Works was notified.  
  • 1:50 p.m. — A Doherty Circle caller reported a large amount of smoke coming from the apartment below hers. The Fire Department responded. The resident had overcooked food.
  • 7:14 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Capen Road and gave the driver a written warning. 
  • 7:25 p.m. — A caller on Aspen Road reported an unknown man was sitting on the porch of a neighbor’s house and then was not seen. Police located the man and he is a friend of the person who lives at the residence. 
  • 9:40 p.m. — A caller reported that a young person on Fairview Avenue was twirling a stick with fire on an end. 
  • 10:03 p.m. —  A caller reported that a black SUV pulled down Lexington Parkway and occupants threw eggs at kids on the street. 
  • 10:24 p.m. — A Sampson Avenue caller reported three bicycles being stolen from his property. Police tried to stop two men on Windsor Avenue but they fled. One of them was caught. 

Sunday, April 17

  • 2:10 a.m. — Police carried out a park and walk detail on Paradise Road. The area was checked and secured. 
  • 9:49 a.m. — Police received a report of a loose or stray dog on Humphrey Street. The dog was gone upon the officer’s arrival to the scene. 
  • 4:50 p.m. — A Humphrey Street caller reported an intoxicated person on Humphrey Street. Fire and ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene and the person was transported to Union Hospital.
  • 8:16 p.m. — A Charles Road caller reported vandalism to a motor vehicle. 

Monday, April 18

  • 3:01 a.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Bellevue Road and gave the driver a verbal warning. 
  • 9:36 a.m. — A caller reported loud music coming from Forest Avenue ballfields. An officer reported that the music was turned off. 
  • 10:22 a.m — A caller reported two suspicious men checking residences on Valley Road. The men were looking for scrap metal in the trash. 
  • 4:30 p.m. — A caller complained that a protester on Paradise Road was violating the law due to the context of the sign. The officer reported no violation.
