Daytime Breaking and Entering Reported Over Town Line

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 25

  • At 8:06 a.m., police received a report of a man screaming as he was walking down Devens Road. He was gone upon police's arrival.
  • At 9:08 a.m., police reported writing parking tickets for several vehicles on Columbia Street. 
  • At 4:28 p.m., a burst pipe was reported on Galloupes Point Road.
  • At 6:31 p.m., two people were arguing on the sidewalk on Humphrey Street at Harrison Avenue.
Friday, July 26
  • At 3:12 a.m., police responded to a report of two people trying to steal ladders on Burpee Road. The two males fled towards Crescent and Buena Vista.
  • At 8:56 a.m., a motor vehicle was issued a parking ticket on Essex Street.
  • At 9:13 a.m., police received a report of a hit-and-run incident in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot with the car fleeing towards Lynn.
  • At 10:01 a.m., police received a report that a 2-year-old on Nason Road may have swallowed a liquid cleaner. The child was transported to North Shore Children's Hospital.
  • At 10:05 a.m., Marblehead police called and reported and breaking-and-entering forced entry incident on Longview, just of Tedesco Street close to the Swampscott line.
