'Call Police' Sign Flashed on MBTA Bus

Swampscott police provided the following information. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, March 5

At 9:39 a.m., a 911 caller reported an upset person screaming in the road on Pine Street. The screaming person missed a train ride and was expressing frustration. The party awaited the next one.

At 12:43 p.m., a party notified police of an MBTA bus with the sign "Call Police' on it. An officer responded and reported that several passengers were creating a disturbance. They were removed from the bus. 

Tuesday, March 6

At 8:04 a.m. a school bus driver reported a minor motor vehicle accident on Essex Street. No one was injured. 

At 9:26 a.m., an employee at a Paradise Road business reported an incident involving a counterfeit bill.

Wednesday, March 7

At 9:03 a.m., a caller reported four barking dogs on Phillips Beach Avenue. 

At 8:47 p.m., a loss prevention officer at a Paradise Road business reported baby formula was stolen.

At 9:26 p.m., police responded to a report of a woman attempting to return stolen baby formula. Police are investigating.

Thursday, March 8

At 1:38 p.m., police met with Larouche campaign protesters on Humphrey Street. The protesters decided to move to another location. 

Friday, March 9

At 12:24 p.m., an Elmwood Road caller reported that the wrought iron gate in front of her house was missing. 

At 6:28 p.m., a person reported a dog bite. Animal control was notified.

At 9:38 p.m., an officer was called to the dance to help the detail officer recover evidence and investigate.

At 10:05 p.m., police received a report of a customer refusing to pay a taxi cab driver for the ride. The dispute was resolved, the rider paid the fare.

Saturday, March 10

At 11:42 a.m., police received a report of a person shoplifting at a Paradise Road store.

Sunday, March 11

At 10:54 p.m., a Thomas Road caller reported a loud group outside. The group left before police arrived.  

Monday, March 12

At 1:29 a.m., police issued a written warning to a motorist stopped on Elmwood Road.

Arrests

Tuesday, March 6

At 10:27 p.m., police arrested Rafael Suazo, 51, of 139 Timson St., Apt. 2L, Lynn, for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He was stopped at the corner of Essex Street and Burrill Street. 

Saturday, March 10

At 12:09 p.m., police arrested Lidia Rodriguez, 19, of 1000 A Loring Ave., Apt. 34, in Salem, for trespassing and shoplifting.
