Firefighters evacuated the multi-occupancy three-story building, which houses Sea Side Cafe and other businesses on the first floor and residences on the second floor. It is across the street from Red Rock Bistro.

Firefighters called in MBTA buses to keep residents warm.

While fighting the blaze, firefighters evacuated the building about midnight and a second ladder was extended to the roof to fight the fire from outside.
