Barking Dogs and Tenant/Landlord Dispute
The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police logs. Where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.
Saturday, Oct. 6
- At 1:30 p.m., a Barnstable Street party reported problems with the landlord. Police took a report.
- At 6:53 p.m., a Stanwood Road caller reported that a utility transformer was arcing. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
Sunday, Oct. 7
- At 12:28 a.m., a report of possible flooding in the parking lot at Congregation Shirat Hayam due to a broken sprinkler head.
- At 7:13 a.m., an ongoing problem with a barking dog reported on Rockland Street. Police spoke to the owner who brought the dog inside.
- At 10:26 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Atlantic and Humphrey.
- At 10:45 a.m., police received a report of a box that possibly contained unexpended fireworks in the road at Bay View and Millett.
- At 6:27 p.m., police received a report from a Barnstable Street tenant who reported being threatened by the landlord.
- 9:08 p.m., a Bay View Drive resident reported the electricity was out at the house. Police notified National Grid of the outage.
