A Barking Dog and a Stolen Cell Phone

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Sept. 15

  • 4:28 a.m., police received a report of loud young peole outside dark-colored cars on Essex Street.
  • 11:45 a.m., a Williams Terrace caller complained about construction work taking place on a Sunday.
  • 12:34 p.m., police received a report of suspicious activity on Currier Court where young people were out of a car and looking at a property.
  • 1:50 p.m., people were arguing in the Mobil Station lot on Paradise Road. A vehicle reportedly hit a pedestrian. There were no injuries.
  • 4:23 p.m., an employee at Radio Shack reported that a cell phone was just stolen.
  • 8:10 p.m., a barking dog was reported on Pleasant Street. The house was dark. Police were to notify the Board of Health about the situation the following morning.
  • 9:50 p.m., teens were reportedly causing trouble on Ryan Place.
Monday, Sept. 16
  • 00:54 a.m., a backpack belonging to a Swampscott resident was found in Boston. Swampscott Police were to drop it off at the Swampscott Middle School on Monday morning.
