Baby Reportedly Left Locked in Car Outside Whole Foods

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police logs. Where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, March 5

  • At 7:51 am., Firefighters and emergency medical servises were notified about an elderly woman who was bleeding and cold to the touch at a Doherty Circle apartment.
  • At 7:54 a.m., police received a report of a past breaking and entering to a motor vehicle on Dennison Avenue. 
  • At 8:12 a.m., police notified a Cherry Court resident that an individual was being released from Middleton jail on this day.
  • At 2:09 p.m., police responded to a three-car accident at 970 Paradise Road. 
  • At 3:30 p.m., police received a report of a verbal domestic incident on Shackle Way. 
  • *At 5:38 p.m., police received a report from a caller who said an infant was locked in an Audi outside Whole Foods Market. The Fire Department was notified. 
  • At 6:56 p.m.,  police were asked to try to locate a high school student who left the building after a disturbance earlier in the day. 
  • At 7:59 p.m., police received a report from a Paradise Road location, the 400-block, saying a wallet was stolen and a credit card had been used.
  • At 9:15 p.m., police received a report from a Commonwealth Avenue resident who said she had found a suspicious note on her vehicle in the morning. 
  • At 9:21 p.m., police received a report of ongoing unwanted phone calls.
  • At 11:58 p.m., the mother of a high school student went to the Nahant Police Department to report her daughter had not been home since being suspended from high school earlier in the day. 

* The Fire Department responded and there was a child locked in the car, according to a spokesman, who checked the department log. No further information was available.
