Thursday, Feb. 24

  • 12:01 a.m. — Daniel Spacek, 28, of 366 Essex St., Salem, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Thursday, Feb. 24

  • 2:01 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call from a Paradise Road location about a man bleeding from his leg. EMS and fire were dispatched to the scene.
  • 2:05 a.m. — Police responded to a complaint about loud music at a Cherry Street location. The group quieted down.
  • 10:28 a.m. — Police responded to a report of an elderly woman falling overnight and injuring her hip on Didio Drive. She was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • 7:46 p.m. — Police responded to a 911 call about a 64-year-old man having difficulty breathing. He was transported by ambulance to Salem Hospital.
  • 9:34 p.m. — Police made a motor vehicle stop on Humphrey Street and gave the operator a written warning.

Friday, Feb. 25 

  • 7:52 a.m. — Police received a report that a woman had fallen on a Humphrey Street sidewalk and may have broken an ankle.  She was transported to Salem Hospital.
  • 1:03 p.m. — A third-party caller reported to police that a friend on Columbia Street had tried to hurt herself. The woman went to Union Hospital voluntarily.
  • 9:05 a.m. — Police conducted a well-being check for a resident on Paradise Road. All was fine.
  • 1:32 p.m. — A home health aid reported a client on Doherty Circle was bruised and black and blue. Medics examined the client and found no evidence of elder abuse. The individual refused medical treatment.
  • 5:37 p.m. — Police made a motor vehicle stop on Paradise Road and gave the driver a written warning.
  • 7:29 p.m. — A Reid Terrace resident walked in to the station to ask that DPW salt the hill where he lives because his car had improper tires on it.
  • 7:36 p.m. — Police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury on Atlantic Avenue.

Saturday, Feb. 26

  • 2:50 a.m. — Police conducted a park and walk detail on Cherry Street. All was quiet.
  • 3:09 a.m. — Police conducted a park and walk detail on Redington Street. The area was secure.
  •  10:08 a.m. — DPW was notified of a missing stop sign at the intersection of Stetson Avenue and Norfolk Avenue.
  • 6:05 p.m. — Police received a report that a motor vehicle had been broken in to and property was stolen on Paradise Road.
  • 10:06 p.m. — Police responded to a report of a fight on Humphrey Street. The officer spoke to youth in the area. 

Sunday, Feb. 27

  • 12:24 a.m. — A caller reported a 16-year-old girl at Kings Beach Terrace was extremely intoxicated. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
  •  12:26 p.m. — A set of keys were found on Humphrey Street.
  • 6:08 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle at the intersection of Humphrey Street and Alden Road and gave the drive a written warning.
  • 6:22 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Paradise Road. The vehicle’s registration had been revoked for insurance cancellation. Police had the vehicle towed and wrote the driver a ticket.
  • 11:23 p.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on New Ocean Street and gave the driver a written warning.

Monday, Feb. 28

  • 1:52 a.m. — A caller reported that a car load of young people were hanging out on Pitman Road. They were sent on their way.
  • 6:39 a.m. — Police received a report of a vehicle being driven erratically on Humphrey Street. The motor vehicle was gone upon police’s arrival.
  • 7:36 a.m. — Police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries in the single-car crash.
  • 5:15 p.m. — A homeowner reported smoke in the basement at Rockland Street. The Fire Department responded and discovered high levels of carbon monoxide in the house. The mom and two children were transported to North Shore Medical Center for evaluations.
  •  10:36 p.m. — An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Essex Street and gave the driver a verbal warning.

Tuesday, March 1

  • 8:29 a.m. — Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident on Paradise Road. There were no injuries and the damage was less than $1,000.
  • 2:26 a.m. — Police conducted a park and walk detail on Essex Street. The area was secure.
  • 7:26 a.m. — Police stopped a motor vehicle on Middlesex Avenue and gave the driver a verbal warning.
  • 8:29 a.m — Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Paradise Road. The accident was minor. One person was injured and the damage to the motor vehicle was less than $1,000. DPW was called in to spread salt and sand on the road.
