Thank You Letters from Friends of the Swampscott Public Library
Letters to the editor from Ellen Winkler extending thanks to those who helped make recent library events a success.
Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Friends of the Swampscott Public Library, I would like to express our sincere appreciation to Chip Ansara of Lynnway Liquors for his generous donation of six excellent wines for our Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Tasting fundraiser held last Friday at the Swampscott Public Library. Thanks to Mr. Ansara’s contribution, a lively group of more than 80 enjoyed sampling wonderful wines under the guidance of Maia Gosselin. We were also treated to delicious hand-made chocolates paired to the wines, which were prepared by Amy Peterson of Conditori Chocolates. Thanks to all for a great evening!

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Friends of the Swampscott Public Library, I would like to thank Frank Kaminski of Kaminski Appraisals for providing us with the services of Mary Westcott on Saturday for our antique appraisal fundraiser. Ms. Westcott provided appraisals of a wide variety of treasures, from Asian ceramics, to antique toys, to a portrait of George Washington in a unique frame constructed of seashells dating back to the early nineteenth century. The appraisals were both informative and entertaining. Everyone left a little “richer” for the experience.
